由华唱原创音乐基金会发起、深圳市福田区文体事业发展专项资金资助，合纵文化集团、匠星娱乐主办，深圳本色连锁承办，美丽南方、胡桃里音乐酒馆等协办的第六届金蜗牛填词大赛，历经8月8日至10月10日为期64天全球海选，通过歌词、金句双通道，万象创作App、西窗烛App、句子控App等十个网络分赛区同步征集，共吸引16049位歌词创作爱好者参与。

报名选手年龄从15到66岁、地域从山区到海外、职业从学生到工程师，投稿作品类型从民谣到说唱、主题从亲情到家国情、内容从传承传统到另辟蹊径，体现出赛事的参与性强、涵盖面广，也展现了中文歌词原创力量的勃勃生机。
The entries range from 15 to 66 years old, from mountainous areas to overseas, from students to engineers, from ballads to rap, from family to national conditions, and from inheriting tradition to finding a new way. All these reflect the strong participation and wide coverage of the competition, and also show the vitality of the original power of Chinese lyrics.
鉴于本届赛事报名选手众多，作品多元，评审团经过数轮评分推送，从上万名选手中，优选出141位作者，入围复赛。三期复赛历时21天，共产生389首全新歌词作品，共32名选手入围半决赛。

12月8日晚，第六届金蜗牛填词大赛全国总决赛颁奖晚会，将于深圳福田区文化馆石厦戏剧馆举行，赛事将由酷狗直播全程网络直播。
